Today, I found something so interesting. It is from a galgame, a text/lines from ‘ライムライト・レモネードジャム’:

「ピーチフラップチーノエクストラホイップにエクストラインホイップにシトラス果肉とチョコチップ追加の氷少な目、お願いします」

It has a lot of katakana, right? When translated into English, it is basically just an order:

"Peach Frappuccino with Extra Whip, Extra In-Whip, Add Citrus Pulp, Add Chocolate Chips, and Light Ice, please."

By the way, I also found the Chinese translation:

「蜜桃星冰乐，顶部加奶油，杯中加奶油加柑橘果肉和巧克力碎加少冰」

Simple, isn’t it?

So why am I talking about this?

Because it’s full of katakana, and most of them come from English — but once turned into Japanese katakana, the words somehow feel more mysterious.

For now, I think next time I visit the Starbucks, I might just try to ordering that Peach Frappuccino with all the extras, just for the fun of it.
Unfortunately, Peach Frappuccino seems to be a seasonal drink in Japan.
